ARC Service · AI search

Get your business recommended by ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI answers.

When a customer asks an AI assistant who to hire, it names a few businesses and links to the sources it trusted. We measure whether you are one of them, find out why or why not, and fix the sources.

Why this matters now

AI assistants are already sending customers to service businesses, including ours.

Visits to arccreativeco.com from AI assistants went from 1 in the three months to July 2026 to 22 in the three months to October. Two of the five conversions our site tracked in that period came from ChatGPT: a strategy-form lead and a booked call. Assistant traffic is small, but it arrives ready to talk.

AI answers don’t work like a page of ten links. An assistant reads a handful of sources (your site, directories, review sites, “best of” articles) and names the businesses those sources agree on. If the sources are thin, outdated or about a different company with a similar name, you get left out or described wrongly.

So AI visibility is mostly about the sources, plus a site that answers questions clearly enough to be quoted.

How we work

What AI search visibility work involves

01

Ask the engines, every month

A fixed set of questions your customers actually ask, put to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, several times each. We report counts, such as “named in 4 of 33 answers”, never a made-up visibility score.

02

See who gets named instead, and why

For every question you lose, we read the answers to see which competitors are named and what the engine says they have that you don’t: reviews, a directory listing, a comparison article, a clear service page.

03

Fix the sources

Claiming and correcting directory and review listings, getting onto the “best of” articles the engines cite, and correcting third-party profiles that state the wrong location or facts.

04

Correct what AI gets wrong

Every factual claim the engines make about you is checked, and anything wrong is traced back to the page that caused it.

05

Make the site easy to read and quote

AI crawlers allowed in, content visible without JavaScript, structured data that links your business to its real profiles, and pages that answer a question in the first few lines.

Our own results

What we found when we ran it on ARC

In October 2026 we asked the five engines 11 buyer questions, three times each. Gemini named ARC first in all three runs for “who can manage Google Ads for a small service business in Silicon Valley?”, citing our local digital marketing page. ChatGPT named us first for an affordable local SEO and Google Ads agency once, quoting our published pricing.

It also showed where we were missing and why. Engines leaned on directory listings where we had none, and two engines repeated an outdated office location from third-party business databases. Those became our own to-do list. It is the same report a client gets.

AI answers vary between runs, so we treat one month as a sample, not a ranking. Nobody can guarantee a place in an AI answer, and we won’t claim to.

The engagement

What the engagement may include

  • Monthly five-engine question set and report
  • Competitor and citation-source analysis
  • Directory and review listing cleanup
  • Accuracy corrections on third-party profiles
  • AI crawler and rendering check
  • Structured data and entity linking
  • Question-led content for your service pages
Works with SEO, not instead of it

The same sources and pages that win AI answers also help Google rankings and your Business Profile, so this work is part of an SEO program rather than a separate one.

Common questions

Questions we are asked before starting

Can you guarantee my business will be recommended by ChatGPT?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. AI answers change between runs and between engines. What we can do is measure where you stand each month, fix the reasons you are left out, and show you the counts moving.

How is AI search visibility different from SEO?

It overlaps heavily. Google rankings, reviews and directory listings feed both. The difference is that AI assistants lean even more on third-party sources and on accurate facts about who you are, so that part gets more attention.

Which AI assistants do you track?

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.

Do I need an llms.txt file?

It does no harm, but there is no evidence yet that the engines use it to decide who to recommend. We focus on what has a measurable effect: crawler access, accurate sources and clear pages.

How much does it cost?

ARC’s managed programs run from $500 to $2,000 a month, depending on what the business needs. Ad spend is separate from that fee and is paid to Google or Meta directly.
